(STORY) "A Walk, Gossip, and a Dream"

The sun was pleasantly breaking through the canopy of trees, casting golden reflections on the park paths. The scent of blooming flowers hung in the air, and leaves rustled quietly. Sarah and Julia were walking leisurely, arm in arm, deep in lively conversation. As every week, the park was their sanctuary—an ideal place for gossip, jokes, and venting emotions after a whole week. Sarah, dressed in a breezy blue daisy-print dress, was laughing at an anecdote about a weekend. Her short black hair waved with every gesture, and her green eyes sparkled. Julia, in a white blouse and pink skirt, with long brown hair, listened with a smile. Until then, life for them consisted of parties, spontaneous outings, and endless fun. Suddenly, their pace slowed down. Sarah's gaze wandered toward a clearing, where a family of four sat on a bench. A young man and a dark-haired woman smiled, looking with tenderness at two boys playing—one building a block tower, the other chasing a toy car. Sarah stopped. Surprise appeared on her face. Her own life—a whirlwind of clubs and a constant rush—suddenly seemed distant and empty. A different world began to spin in her head. Instead of party hustle, she felt the peace of a warm afternoon. She looked at the boys and thought: What if this were my life? What if I could build something real, safe, and forever? She touched her necklace, drifting into dreamland. The warmth in her chest was new and pleasant. – Sarah? Earth to Sarah! – a melodic voice reached her. Julia was waving her hand in front of her face, trying to bring her friend back to reality. The sudden movement made Sarah snap out of it. The realization of how deeply she had drifted hit her, and she felt her cheeks flush crimson. – What... what's going on? Nothing, everything is fine! – she blurted out, touching her burning cheek and looking away. Julia raised her eyebrows into a playful smile and nudged her lightly on the shoulder, ready to press the subject.
