The Shrine Maiden of the Other Shore (1)

The campfires had long been swallowed by the night, leaving me utterly lost in the dense fog. After hours of wandering, the earth beneath my feet gave way to a staggering crimson landscape—a boundless ocean of spider lilies, burning like wildfire under a surreal, twilight sky. In the heart of this eerie floral sea sat a white-haired shrine maiden. She wore a black and red kimono, her pale face streaked with uncanny, ink-like tears. Sensing my intrusion, she slowly turned her head. Her hollow, blood-red eyes locked onto mine, and her lips parted into a chilling, twisted smile.
