I'm jumping the gun on my 3k collects, but running with the inspiration. And for anyone who has followed me for a little while will know, the one milestone measure I value the most is collects. Thank you everyone who continues to support me, and for those I've inspired enough to collect nearly 3,000 of my images: it means everything to me. The Challenge - my rant: Following on from Ayyyyyyylmao's 'What we give' title, I am offering a challenge (to all) by way of reply with 'my old-fashioned and undivided time'. Where once we experienced boredom in similar abundance as the endless passages of time itself, now it has become a scarce and precious commodity. You can't grow more of it with new technology, nor by watering it; we all remember times when it stretched out beyond the horizons of our patience. Yet today, it's depletion has become so rife, we now stockpile it behind the walls of our minds to burn like fuel to feed our ever-hungry active thoughts: no carbon, nor microplastic - just cerebral waste. It was as much a form of hospitality to be shared as it was the breaking of bread at the table with others, only now it is a rare gift reserved for special occasions; sometimes; a last refuge of meaningfulness, or in a lucid moment, a fumbling back for posterity in an otherwise ever-soul depleting world.

The Challenge - for you: Post an image of a precious concept to you. For me it's time. But for you, it can be anything. I won't give suggestions in case it stops you then choosing it. But what matters to you? The more abstract the better, and write some art wank to go with it (like I did). I want to feel what you feel. Inspire me, and inspire others.
