At first, I was going to put some joke in here, like, "My most precious thing is ice cream", but no. Humanity is the concept that we created; maybe it's virtual or non-existent. Still, sometimes we want to say, "This person is a Human" - yeah, with the capital H. Not biologically, but somewhat spiritually. Someone capable. Strong (in one way or another) and just. Strives for freedom. Who is bold, but not impudent. Kind and genuine, but not naive. Who is creative and builds a better world around, boldly dismissing the imperfections of existence. Maybe you imagine a Superman as you read. That is not wrong entirely. Still, I think all humans... or at least most of them have it in themselves.

Of course, this silly sponge doesn't understand what I'm talking about. Look around: murders, rape, hate, and war. People destroy as willingly as they create! We call someone "Strong" when they win, subdue the weaker ones. Upon seeing a homeless person, the commoner will walk on by: "I've got my own business to mind". There is no fairness in this world, and humans are as insignificant as insects.

Perhaps similar thoughts have crossed your mind. I can't say that that's wrong. Still, seeing all the filth around, we despise it. We see it, and we want to challenge it. Returning to Superman, it is safe to say that figures like him are popular for a reason. It's not an ultimate answer to the problems, but it may embody the will to create something better.

In the end, humankind has achieved so many things. And I believe in it. I do not doubt that we will achieve more.
