(Memory Cross) The conflicting ideas 1

Story:

Kicho led Euphy by the hand through the temple's upper corridors, stepping over the corpses without so much as a glance.

The guards who tried to bar their way needed only a glimpse of the butterfly swarm coiling around the two women—they fled screaming, and in fleeing, they did the sisters' work for them: spreading word through the whole temple that two wicked witches had murdered all of Tennoji's leadership monks.

Chaos devoured the defenders. Battle monks and ronin milled about in leaderless panic, some vowing revenge, others already untying their sashes in surrender.

Saru Hideyoshi needed no second invitation—his thousand samurai slammed through the unmanned main gate and fanned out, seizing the pagoda, the gates, the storehouses, every strategic point before the sun touched the horizon.

By sunset, Tennoji had fallen completely, and Oda battle flags hung from every building like a festival in reverse.
