The Palasik, also known in various regional folklore as Kayang, Leyak, Penanggal, or Krasue, is a vampiric entity said to take the form of a witch with a horrifying ability: separating her head from her body, leaving her internal organs dangling beneath it.

When night falls, she abandons her human form and takes to the skies, drifting silently through the darkness in search of blood to sustain her unnatural existence and dark powers.

Some say that beneath the grotesque apparition lies a deceptively ordinary human face, beautiful enough to conceal the monster it belongs to.
