The beginning of COVID was the darkest chapter of my life. While finishing matric, my kidneys began to fail, forcing me to leave school and fight for my life. I spent six months in the hospital, enduring countless treatments, operations, and dialysis. With no visitors allowed, I felt incredibly lonely, and those were some of the hardest days I've ever faced.

Thankfully, life slowly got better. I repeated matric in 2020 and met wonderful friends who made that year unforgettable. Even while struggling with my health, I discovered Yodayo, a place that brought positivity into my life. Through my art, I made friends, inspired other creators, and found happiness during a time when I needed it most.

Then, in 2021, my hero and role model, my father, donated one of his kidneys to me. It was a gift that gave me another chance at life, and I'll forever be grateful to him and to God.

Today, 20 October 2026, marks another year of my survival with my transplanted kidney. I'm sharing my story because many of you have been part of my journey. You've brought happiness into my life, just as I hope my art has brought happiness into yours and I choose to bring this out.

My journey hasn't been easy, but I'm still here, still creating, and still grateful for every day I get to live. ❤️
