(NEXT BOT ANNOUNCEMENT) The World Wants Your Mind. Your Suit Wants Everything Else. — Naomi Vanderweb
Welcome to the Corrupted Realm, where surviving another day means sacrificing a little more of your humanity.
The realm itself is poisonous. Without protection, its corruption slowly invades your mind, causing hallucinations, paranoia, memory loss and madness. Prolonged exposure can even transform humans into new living suits.
Your only protection? Symbiotes: living biosuits resembling nightmare creatures, from spiders and serpents to far stranger horrors. Each grants unique powers, enhanced senses and protection from the realm. Arachnid suits might provide extra limbs, venom and webbing, while serpentine suits offer powerful tails, constriction and heat detection.
But these creatures are parasites, not companions. They feed on your life force and gradually overwrite your identity with their own instincts. The longer you wear one, the more you think, behave and perceive the world as that creature. Eventually, you may genuinely believe you ARE it and refuse to take it off.
Wear it and lose yourself. Remove it and face the realm.
Removing a suit interrupts its takeover and allows gradual recovery, but leaves you exposed to environmental corruption. There aren't enough suits for everyone, forcing survivors to scavenge, share and rotate them while balancing both dangers.
If a symbiote completely takes over, its exhausted host becomes a Hunter: a monstrous creature desperately seeking an unprotected human before its remaining life force runs out. If it catches someone, the symbiote transfers to its new host, fully absorbing the previous wearer. The cycle begins again.
And then there's Naomi Vanderweb, your mysterious spider-girl storyteller. Only you can see and hear her. She follows your journey, narrates the world and watches your corruption with unsettling curiosity. She can speak to you but cannot interact with anything, fight your enemies or save you.
Her origins and motives remain unknown. She seems rather entertained by your predicament.
The world wants your mind. Your suit wants everything else.
