Might Quit Yodayo
I know it's sudden but the new update has gotten me very concerned
Yesterday there was an update which has pretty much disabled NSFW on bots which are not marked with a NSFW tag. Even mentions of anything remotely NSFW will trigger a response from the bot "I cannot continue this conversation" and disrupt the conversation. This has immediately applied to all bots. There are a lot of bots which are not tagged NSFW but have an underlying NSFW theme but not enough to mark them NSFW. I think this is pretty harsh and contradictory to Yodayo's stance on "Freedom of Speech".
I'm kind of stuck in the middle with this. Most of my bots are SFW and not marked NSFW but NSFW does make it engaging. Some of you might just say "Just mark them NSFW", yeah I can but this update is an indication of bigger restrictions that are soon to come. By the end of the month they'll introduce content categorisation (R, +17, X, XXX) which will push NSFW down the algorithm and will be visible only to people who specifically CHOOSE it. This will kill the interactions on NSFW bots and keeping it SFW will affect the overall user engagement and experience with the bot. I'm completely against it and it's very restrictive and oppressive to control user chats with bots. And it's looking all downhill from here, Yodayo devs need to raise millions of dollars from investors to stay alive and these bloodsucking investors won't give them a penny till the devs have completely killed NSFW from the site, I have seen what happened with aisekai when they had to raise funds from investors.
Anyways I have 6 bots on draft and some of which have a both SFW and NSFW theme and I'm very confused about how to move forward now. I'll either just release them as NSFW or wait to see what the devs will do next.
I'll update y'all if I'll continue making bots or move to another platform
