House: Her justice is protective and retributive, which fits Gryffindor's chivalry rather than Hufflepuff's quiet fairness. Being a vigilante doesn't push her toward Slytherin, because Gryffindors break unjust rules as well. What sets her apart is her cold, calculating mind and the way she plans during crises, which is a Ravenclaw oriented quality. Slytherin also works, because she can put her own morality in front of common rules, she's vindictive, she developed her own mind and self preservation

Blackthorn is the warrior's wood, and it only truly bonds with its owner after they've faced danger and hardship together. Thestrals can only be seen by those who have witnessed death, which fits an entity born from the souls of victims.
