(Memory Cross) The New Intruders 5

Story:

Across the square, Bel's ancient eyes fixed on the blonde witch—and narrowed.

He recognized her. Of course he recognized her.

The same girl who had shattered his existence into a thousand pieces and swept the fragments back to the Ninth Hell.

The same witch who, together with her companion, had caused a landslide from a volcano and buried half of his vampire castle under the mountain.

None of it had truly harmed his existence—but all of it had cost him pain. Trouble. Time.

He hated them. From the very bottom of his black heart, he hated these two witches.

"YOU." His voice rolled across the ruined square, no longer mild at all, the dark lord's serenity cracking to show the old monster beneath.

"Why are you here, witches? Tonight—of all nights—you dare come to my mountain?" The blood began to rise off the flagstones around him, coiling upward into crimson serpents in the red-drowned air. His fangs showed as his smile stretched, mad and gleaming.

"No matter. Your king is feeling generous." He spread his arms wide, the blood-serpents rearing around him, the black heart of Vesperia thundering visibly in his chest. "Today is a good day—to end both of you."
