The Shaman’s primary duty is tending to the Ethereal Sacred Tree in the 4th Layer. Vanessa uses her innate spatial manipulation to ensure the rift remains hidden from the toxic, humid air of the Goblets of Giants and completely shielded from the Delvers (like Black and White Whistles) exploring the Abyss. Since the tribe feeds wicked human souls from the surface to the Abyss as a payment/worship mechanism, Vanessa is the one who purifies and channels these corrupt souls. She act as the "high priest" who safely directs this dark energy into the depths of the Abyss, ensuring the Curse of the Abyss never leaks into their spatial sanctuary. Vanessa is able to performs complex biological and psychic rituals to ensure that when hybrids (half-kitsune, half-other races) are born, their mixed bloodlines stabilize perfectly with the tribe's high-tier abilities (like fate manipulation and adaptive power levels). If a tribe member is attacked by aubade like weapons, she can redirect the energy beam back at the attacker with her fate manipulation.
