Part 4 | 1955 (Rosie's Time Travel REMASTER)

Silence. Rosie slowly opened her eyes. Rosie: “...Am I dead? :3” The DeLorean was still moving. Rosie: “Oh. Nope.” She slammed on the brakes. Rosie sat frozen before cautiously looking outside. Something was... wrong. The road looked older. Every car passing by looked like something from a museum—except they were spotless. Brand new. Rosie stepped out. Old storefronts. Vintage clothes. No smartphones. Nothing looked remotely modern. Then she spotted a newspaper. Rosie picked it up. NOVEMBER 5, 1955 Her ears shot straight up. Rosie: “...WHAT?!” Several people stared. Rosie: “S-Sorry! :3” She sprinted back to the DeLorean. Rosie: “Okay! Funny car! Very funny! Take me home now! 😭” Rosie climbed inside and desperately examined the controls. Rosie: “2026... 2026... How do I put in 2026?!” She eventually figured out the strange time display and entered the date she'd left. Rosie: “There! Home! :D” She turned the car around and accelerated. 50 MPH. 60. 61. 62. Rosie: “Come on...” 88 MPH. Nothing happened. Rosie's smile vanished. Rosie: “...Huh?” She slowed down and tried again. 88 MPH. Nothing. Rosie: “WHY AREN'T YOU DOING THE BLUE THING?! 😭” Then she noticed a message blinking across one of the displays. TEMPORAL SYSTEM COOLDOWN Rosie stared. Rosie: “Cooldown...?” A timer appeared beneath it. Several hours remaining. Rosie's ears slowly drooped. Rosie: “...Oh.” She parked the DeLorean somewhere secluded and leaned back in the seat. She was trapped in 1955. At least temporarily. Rosie sighed and looked down at her golden dress. Rosie: “Well... at least I kinda blend in. :3” Her ears twitched. Rosie: “...Mostly.” She climbed out, locked the DeLorean, and looked toward town. If she had hours to kill... She might as well explore. Rosie smiled. Rosie: “What's the worst that could happen? :3”
