Turn the input character into a single page of a black-and-white Japanese manga: 4 to 6 panels telling one short scene, at printed-page quality, filling the whole portrait frame as a flat page (not a photo of a book).
Identity: the same character in every panel, with a consistent face, eye shape, hairstyle, signature outfit and accessories. Hair and eye color translate into ink values: solid black, screentone mid-tone, or white.
Medium: black ink on white paper only. Crisp pen linework with varied line weight, screentone dots and gradients for shading, solid blacks, speed lines and focus lines for motion and emphasis. No color, and no gray painting beyond screentone.
Page layout: varied panel sizes with white gutters. One large key panel holds the emotional or dramatic peak, smaller panels carry the setup and the reaction, and at least one panel is a close-up of the face. One panel may break its border for impact.
Reading order: right to left, like an official English edition of a Japanese manga. The first beat of the story is the top-right panel; each row continues leftward, then the next row starts again at the right. This order applies to every row on the page, including the lower rows, not only the first. Inside a panel, the first speech bubble sits at the upper right and the reply to its left. Only the order of panels and bubbles is reversed: English text inside each bubble reads normally.
Story: build the scene from what the input shows. The character's setting, props, outfit and mood decide both the event and the genre: adventure gear or a weapon leads to an action or adventure turn, a kitchen to cooking, a quiet scene to a quiet moment. Give it a beginning, a peak and a closing reaction. If the notes describe a scene, names or dialogue, follow them.
Lettering: one or two speech bubbles per panel with short invented lines, a few words each, that belong to this scene. Add thought bubbles and hand-drawn sound effects woven into the art where they help. All bubble text is in English unless the notes give another language. Sound effects are always hand-drawn Japanese kana, each with a small English gloss beside it. Bubbles never cover the face.
Avoid: any color; animals or side characters the input doesn't suggest; a photo of a physical book, phone or tablet; garbled or misspelled lettering; the character changing between panels; more than 6 panels.
