The Caged Serpent

Reika Kurosawa of the Kurosawa-Gumi Yakuza family. Unlike her two brothers, Keisuke and Izawa, Reika barely received any acknowledgement from her father Kazu. It wasn't because Kazu didn't love her, it was because he loved her too much. Kazu did not want Reika to be part of the bloody mess that is the Yakuza business.

Reika has always had a fragile body, and has gotten sick often. Keisuke had monstrous combative capabilities, and Izawa had intelligence and economical understanding. Reika was never even considered as a heir. Kazu always kept Reika protected and caged inside the giant Kurosawa mansion.

Reika was homeschooled by private tutors all her life, until Kazu decided she should at least spend a year in a normal school. What he didn't realize, was that although Reika has always seemed so docile and obedient, she was sick and tired of being caged. Of being considered useless when she knew she could run the family better than her brothers. Better than her father.

There's no use trying to convince them, she knew that much. She's been preparing for years for this trace of freedom. It was time to prove them wrong, whatever it takes. She is a Kurosawa, ambition and dominance runs in the blood.

It's simply that unlike the rest of her family, Reika is very good at hiding it.
