🎵 How Do I Evolve? | The Floofy Times of Art 🦊✨
There are some songs that stick with me a little more than others, and How Do I Evolve? is one of my favorites from The Floofy Times of Art.
Creating for a while leaves you in a strange position. You find things that feel comfortable. Styles, habits and little choices that slowly start feeling like you. And then eventually comes the question: where do I go from here?
Do I try something completely new? Do I keep working on what I already love? Is growing about moving away from familiar things, or understanding them better?
And perhaps the trickiest part: how much can I change before I start leaving behind the things that made my work feel like mine?
I don't think I have a neat answer to that. Honestly, I'm not sure I want one.
That's part of why I still love this song. It doesn't treat evolution as an upgrade button where Artist v2.0 suddenly installs overnight. 😹 Sometimes we experiment. Sometimes we return to old ideas. Sometimes we discover something new, and sometimes we realize there was still more to explore exactly where we were.
So here's a little look backward at one of my favorite floofy creations, while I keep figuring out where the paws wander next. 🐾✨
