Ah, it is so good to be home! For those who’ve wondered why I haven’t been posting these last couple of weeks, it’s because I was on vacation in Japan!

Now, I mainly visited Tokyo and Osaka, but ended up taking a two day trip with my homie to hike Mt. Fuji. As for the two of us who have never hiked a day in our lives? It was quite the taxing climb. But we made the summit just after sunrise.

When we first arrived, we experienced our first earthquake, so that was also something. Was wondering if it would happen again at some point before we left, but we only experienced that one quick one in the early hours of the morning. Then we got to visit some PARCOs, walked into a MEGA Don Quihote, got some cool stuff from different game stores, it was fun.

What got me was the level of kindliness and hospitality that people had whenever we walked into any of the establishments we entered. Especially this one little shop in Tsukiji Ginza that was right outside our hotel that made perfected wagyu steak. The head chef was so good to me and my homies and we made sure we each left sparkling 5 star reviews about his place. If I happen to back next year, I’ll be sure to visit him again. And hopefully will have learned a lot more Japanese than simply saying “arigato.” ^_^’

In any case, we each enjoyed ourselves and I’m just so relieved to be back home.
